A global career can take you far. The most meaningful decision may be choosing where to bring everything you’ve learned. Vasilis Jacovides reflects on 15 years in the UK and the decision to return to Cyprus for a new chapter in business and leadership.

Vasilis Jacovides is an Executive Manager at MSJ Group, where he supports the Group’s strategic, commercial and organisational development. Previously, Vasilis spent 15 years in the UK, building a career in financial services. He spent eight years at the Bank of England, working across banking supervision and policy, where he progressed to Senior Manager, leading a cross-functional team. Earlier, he worked in Financial Services Advisory at EY, supporting regulatory and transformation projects for major banks. Vasilis holds an Economics degree from the University of Cambridge, a Finance MSc from Imperial College Business School and is a Chartered Management Accountant.
