You don’t have to wait until you graduate to start becoming the person you want to be. Nikolas Pantelis shares how saying yes to opportunities outside the classroom led him from volunteering to national leadership—and why investing in yourself may be the most important investment you make.

Nikolas Pantelis is currently in his second year at the University of Cyprus, studying Economics. He is also employed at PwC as a Payroll Specialist.
Nikolas’s journey with JA Alumni started almost five years ago as a member of the events department. He gradually became the National Coordinator of JA Alumni Cyprus and, together with his team, won the “Gold Nation of the Year” award, a major, first-of-its-kind milestone for the JA and JAA Cyprus ecosystem.
He believes that a society grows great only when its members plant trees whose shade they will never sit under. For the young generation, investing time in themselves is of paramount importance.
