Maniana Kalogeraki

Journalist - Spokesperson of President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus

Maniana Kalogeraki is a graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she studied Communication and Mass Media (1996-2000). Alongside her academic studies, she pursued language studies in English, French, and Turkish. Before completing her Degree, she began working for Kathimerini newspaper in Athens, Greece, as an editor on the foreign news desk. She then served as anchorwoman and foreign news editor at Star Channel, Greece, for 12 years (2000–2012). Since 2012, she has been living and working in Cyprus, where she has held senior editorial positions in media organizations including IMH, Politis Newspaper and Digital Tree. With focus on major political developments, she interviewed Presidents of the Republic of Cyprus, cabinet members and Turkish- Cypriot leaders. From May 2020 until September 2023, she was the Cyprus’ Correspondent for ERT (Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation) and Athens News Agency. In May 2022, she was honored by Athanasios Botsis Foundation for the Promotion of Journalism (Greece) for her coverage of the closed city of Varosha, Famagusta, Cyprus and her overall reporting on significant issues of Cyprus in State television of Greece. In addition to her 25 years’ experience in media, her political and investigative journalism, she has been involved in major sports events. Amongst others, she has presented Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon and worked as production team member of Tokyo Paralympic Games (2021). During the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, she served as Team Leader of one of Greek teams of Olympic Broadcasting Services. She has also participated in fireside chats and panel discussions at international forums, including Delphi Economic Forum. From October 2023, she has been serving as Spokesperson of President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, Mrs. Annita Demetriou.
