George Horattas holds Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio, USA). He later completed postgraduate studies in business management.

Since 1998, he has been working at the Cyprus Productivity Center (CPC) in which he is currently holding the position of the Senior Productivity Officer.

Since 2008, he has been responsible for the development of Vocational Education and Training at the CPC and in 2013 he was assigned the duties of Coordinator of the Technical Vocational Training Sector of the CPC.

He has also been responsible for the development and promotion of skills in Cyprus, the organization of the National Skills Competitions and the participation of Cyprus in the European Euroskills competitions.
