She was trained to analyse numbers. Then she decided to build something that could impact lives. Alexandra Dimitriadou shares the unexpected journey from accountant to MedTech founder and the realities of turning an ambitious healthcare idea into a startup ready to reach international markets.

Alexandra Dimitriadou is the Co-founder and CEO of MammoCheck, a Cyprus-based MedTech company and Frederick University spin-out developing AI-powered software for adjunctive, breast cancer screening using thermal imaging and a smartphone app, currently on a pathway toward FDA 510(k) clearance and EU MDR CE marking. An ACCA-qualified accountant with a Big Four audit background, she leads the company’s business development, fundraising and strategic partnerships, and has secured non-dilutive grant funding as well as distribution and insurance partnerships across Cyprus and Greece. She is a member of TiE Women and Sigma Squared, and a Forbes 30 Under 30 Greece 2026 honouree.
