My name is Rally Papageorgiou. I was born on January 24, 1975, in Nea Vyssa, a village in the northeastern part of the Evros River, on the border between Greece and Turkey. I studied journalism at IEK Akmi (a private college) in Athens and at Frederick University in Nicosia. In 2005, I went to Istanbul and studied the Turkish language at TÖMER (the language institute of Ankara University). I came to Cyprus in 1996 and since then I have worked at Astra radio, Radio Proto, as a correspondent of the Dias media group in Turkey, and at Sigma TV. Since 2008, I have been working at CNA (Cyprus News Agency), and for the past nine years, I have also been collaborating with CyBC, reporting on issues from the Turkish Cypriot community and the Cyprus negotiations. I speak Greek, English, and Turkish. I am married and have one child.
