FOUNDER AND CEO, UW GROUP
Thrasos Tsangaridis studied Marine Engineering and spent numerous years working on various ships as a seafarer, before moving towards various positions in shipping companies. He continued his education in Business Administration and Marketing, focusing on leadership and sustainability. Since 2000, he’s been the Founder and CEO of the UW Group of Companies, based in Cyprus and with offices in Greece, Dubai, Singapore and China. He has contributed significantly in various leadership roles, having been a member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Chamber of Shipping, he is the president of the World Association of Marine Repair Agents, former Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Ports Authority, and member of the Boards of Directors of CyMEPA, Cyprus Maritime Club, Tsavliris Cultural Foundation and numerous other economic and academic bodies.
