Dr. Orestis Omran is a Partner in DLA Piper and Head of the firm’s Greece Country Group, leading its practice across Greece and Cyprus. He advises on international corporate and finance transactions in the energy, banking and infrastructure sectors, and on EU regulatory matters before the European Commission and EU Courts. Qualified in England and Wales, New York, Greece and Brussels, Orestis has built his practice around complex cross-border work spanning multiple legal systems. Orestis is recognised by Chambers, Lexology, Legal 500 and IFLR1000 for his expertise in Banking & Finance, Corporate and Energy matters. He holds an LLM from the University of Chicago Law School, and a PhD in Comparative Constitutional Law. He has served as a guest lecturer at universities worldwide, and he is Co-Founder and Chairman of Synergia think tank.
