Professor Marios Dikaiakos is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Cyprus. He holds a Dipl.-Ing. in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Princeton University.

He has held academic positions at the University of Washington and the University of Cyprus, as well as visiting professorships at several universities in Europe and the USA. At the University of Cyprus, he served as Head of the Department of Computer Science (2010–2014) and as founding Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship (2014–2021).

He is the founder and Principal Investigator of the Laboratory for Internet Computing and has led numerous research projects funded by the European Union and the Research and Innovation Foundation of Cyprus. He has published more than 160 peer-reviewed papers, with research interests focusing on cloud computing, network-centric systems, and online social network analysis.
