TASOS TRYFONOS
JOURNALIST, PRESENTER, DIRECTOR OF LOVE FM 100.7
Born in Limassol, Tasos Tryfonos studied Communication & Media at Panteion University in Athens. Early in his career, he worked for various magazines, newspapers, and television shows. Notably, he worked at IMACO publications under Petros Kostopoulos, Lyberis publications, Minos EMI record company as a public relations officer, and the shows "Katse Kala" on ANT1 with Anna Drouza, Fotis Sergoulopoulos, and Maria Bakodimou, and "PRIVE" on Mega Channel with Elena Katritsi, initially as a reporter and later as a show consultant.
In 2003, he started in the morning slot of LOVE RADIO 97.5 in Athens with Eleni Manousaki. In 2005, he took over as the station director until 2012, and from 2008 onwards, he hosted an afternoon radio show with Margarita Droutsa. In the summer of 2012, he returned to Cyprus to take an executive position at the SPP MEDIA group and simultaneously created and hosted the talk show "Tet-A-Tet" on the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation. The show was awarded for two consecutive years as the favourite talk show on Cypriot television, hosting significant personalities from Greece and Cyprus, and is now aired on Alpha Cyprus by Tryfonos.
In 2017, he began presenting the game show "The Weakest Link" on RIK, which achieved great success and was broadcast daily for three seasons. In 2019, he also started presenting the same game show in Greece on SKAI, becoming the first host worldwide to present this particular game show simultaneously in two countries. During 2022-2023, he presented it daily on ERT1. Since September 2020, he has been part of the Alpha Cyprus team, successfully presenting the quiz shows "The Chase" and "Tipping Point." Since June 2012, he has co-hosted the daily morning radio show on LOVE FM 100.7 with actor and screenwriter Christiana Artemiou. He is also the station's director.
