FOUNDER, KARAISKAKIO FOUNDATION Michalis Karaiskakis, founder of the Karaiskakio Foundation, dedicated his life to fighting leukemia and promoting bone marrow donation in Cyprus. The foundation, established in 1996 after the tragic loss of his son to leukemia, has since grown into one of the largest global registries of volunteer bone marrow donors. Karaiskakis transformed his personal grief into a powerful mission of hope, helping thousands of patients in need of transplants.
