Maria Evangelou, 17 years old, is a 3rd year high school student at St. George High School in Larnaca and is involved in innovation and research. As CEO of the student business Peellastic, she created an ecological bioplastic from potato peels that replaces plastic and led an idea that won important awards in the Junior Achievement competition, representing Cyprus in Gen-E 2025. Through interviews and podcasts, she promoted the company’s work and vision. Her vision is to inspire young people to become helpers in addressing the ecological disaster that is plaguing the planet.
