Petros Vassilopoulos is a leading figure in the logistics sector in Cyprus. Holding a PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, he played a pivotal role in introducing and establishing the Outsourced Third-Party Logistics (3PL) model in the country from 2000 onwards. Over the past three decades, he has gained extensive experience in logistics services and is a Fellow of several prestigious institutions, including the Chartered Institute of Logistics and the Institute of Freight Forwarders. He is also a fellow and holds the title of Chartered Shipbroker.
In addition, he holds two specialized postgraduate diplomas from UK universities: one in Port Shipping Administration and another in Management Studies in Shipping and Logistics. Currently, he serves as a Visiting Professor at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), where he has taught Logistics and Supply Chain Management for over 20 years and has been a speaker at numerous industry conferences. His contributions to the field of Logistics have earned him significant recognition, including the Business Leader Award by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) in 2019 and the IMH Logistics Award in 2025. Today, he remains a key shareholder and Executive Director at G.A.P. Vassilopoulos Group, focusing on the Group’s logistics operations.
