George Gabriel was born in 1972 in Geroskipou. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies with Computing and is the General Manager of Aphrodite Delights Ltd, which continues the family business founded by his great-grandfather in 1895. In 1994, he took over the management of the company. He was a pioneer in the protection of geographical indications, and through his initiative, two of the first Cypriot products were registered by the EU with Protected Geographical Indication status: Geroskipou Loukoumi (2007) and Geroskipou Almond Sugared Almonds (Koufeta) (2012). Additionally, with his involvement, Geroskipou Loukoumi was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage list of UNESCO in 2024.
