Nektarios Alexandrou is the founder of GDA Sports, a sports-oriented company focusing on sporting events as well as mental training and empowerment, with the aim of supporting the development of the new generation of athletes, coaches, and executives in the sports industry. Nektarios was a professional football player for 19 years, representing during his course of his career leading teams such as Larissa, Doxa and APOEL. Over the course of his career, he enjoyed remarkable success, winning a total of 20 titles, including 10 Cypriot Championships and competing in the group stages of UEFA competitions on nine occasions. He was also capped 45 times for the Cyprus national team. He holds a degree in Primary Education from the University of Cyprus and a UEFA A Youth Elite coaching diploma. Since retiring in 2020, Nektarios has taken on various coaching and technical director roles across all youth development age groups (4–17 years) at the Academies of APOEL, Liverpool International Academy, Xalkanoras Idaliou and more recently at Olympiakos Nicosia. His vision is to foster a physically, mentally and spiritually strong and healthy environment within Cypriot sports, both at the developmental and professional levels.
