Demetris Iacovides is a VC investor at Metavallon backing frontier founders in the tech space. He leads pre-seed investments in Deep Tech and Life Sciences. Previously, he was Principal at Big Pi Ventures, where he invested in more than 20 high-tech startups, including Accusonus (acquired by Meta), Cylinder Health, and TileDB. His earlier career spans corporate development at Genesis Pharma, M&A advisory at Deloitte, and Life Sciences deals at PwC. Demetris holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering from UCL, MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering with Biotechnology from Imperial College London, MSc in Bio-Social Sciences from LSE and an MS in Management of Biotech Enterprises from Grenoble Ecole de Management.
