Varnavas Timotheou is the Founder and CEO of Hegemonic Project Games, a Cyprus-based publisher of board games on politics, economics and international relations. Since founding the company in 2018, his vision has been to give back to society by uniting academia and gaming, helping people understand the world they live in. Hegemony and World Order, launched through crowdfunding, have attracted over 25,000 supporters and generated €3 million in sales. Together, its games have won multiple awards, been translated into 13 languages and reached the world’s top 50 board games. Varnavas holds an MA from King’s College London, an MBA from the University of Nicosia and a BA from Manchester Metropolitan University.
